Mr. Cathcart has devoted his career to sourcing, structuring, pricing and accounting for reinsurance transactions. He has analyzed hundreds of potential deals and completed several dozen transactions. With his deep knowledge of reinsurance economics, accounting, regulation, taxation, onshore/offshore issues and administration he brings unparalleled creativity to executing transactions.
Mr. Cathcart has most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer and prior to that, Chief Financial Officer, for Ability Insurance Company and Ability Resources Inc. From 2005 – 2007, he headed the Towers Watson North American Long Term Care (LTC) consulting practice, where he more than doubled targets for annual production increases.
Serving as the Chief Financial Officer of A-CAP, Mr. Rosztoczy is an experienced business leader and finance executive with experience in finance, business strategy, operations, workforce transformation, M&A, accounting and analytics.
Previous to joining A-CAP he was the Chief Operating Officer of the Finance function and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis at Global Atlantic. Mr. Rosztoczy has also held various Chief Financial Officer positions at TIAA, UBS, and Morgan Stanley following a decade of experience in Public Accounting, mostly at EY’s Financial Services Consulting practice.
Rosztoczy has over 30 years of Finance experience, with a majority focus in financial services and real estate industries.
Mr. Zhou currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer at A-CAP Management (“A-CAP”) with a focus on CLOs, 1st lien mortgages and direct collateralized loans. Prior to joining A-CAP, Mr. Zhou was a Managing Director at Riverside Risk Advisors where he structured, negotiated and executed billions of interest rate, foreign exchange, and equity derivative trades. Previously, he was a member of the proprietary structured credit team at Swiss Re.
In addition, Mr. Zhou structured and modeled mortgage backed securities in roles at Varadero Capital, Societe Generale, C-BASS, and Capital One Financial. He holds a BA in mathematics (Summa Cum Laude) from University of Rochester and a MS in statistics from Stanford University.
Charles Sanders is a 45 year veteran of the life insurance industry and is the President of Atlantic Coast Life. He began his employment with Atlantic Coast Life in 1997 as the Director of Training, and became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 1999. Prior to his employment with Atlantic Coast Life, he worked for 22 years in a variety of capacities for the Life Insurance Company of Georgia. Mr. Sanders earned his Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations in 1997 and 2003, respectively. He completed his LLIF designation from the LIMRA Leadership Institute in 2002. Mr. Sanders is a graduate of Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC.
Mr. Rothman joined A-CAP in September 2016 and has 25 years’ experience in structured fixed income products and markets. Prior to A-CAP, Mr. Rothman worked for Petra Capital Management originating transactions in the leveraged loan/CLO sector. Before that, Mr. Rothman managed a $12BN runoff book of primarily structured finance assets for National Australia Bank. Earlier, he was a Senior Managing Director at ACA Capital and a banker in the mortgage, asset finance and securitization businesses of GE Capital, Deutsche Bank, PaineWebber and Chase Manhattan Mortgage.
Mr. Rothman holds a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a Master’s Degree in Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Management.
Mr. Charsky is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Ability Insurance Company. In these roles he is responsible for all budgeting, regulatory and financial reporting functions. Previously he was the Vice President of Finance for a private equity based start-up (re)insurer and third-party administrator.
Before that Mr. Charsky was the director of financial reporting and taxes at a middle market insurance company. Mr. Charsky started his career with Ernst & Young, while obtaining his certified public accountant license.
Ms. Elliott is the Chief Risk Officer for A-CAP and responsible for risk management including operational, regulatory, underwriting, and reinsurance. Prior to joining A-CAP, Ms. Elliott spent over 12 years at the Nebraska Department of Insurance.
Ms. Elliott received BS and MBA degrees from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She is a Certified Financial Examiner and a Former Board Member of the Society of Financial Examiners.
Mr. George is responsible for developing reinsurance, and other financial transactions for life insurance and annuity business on behalf of A-CAP. He has over 25 years’ wide ranging experience as a consulting actuary in life insurance with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, risk management and asset-liability management.
In the early 1990s, Mr. George founded Avon Consulting Group, a life actuarial consulting firm which eventually became the largest life consulting shop in New England, and the most successful domestic life start-up in the decade. He was most recently Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Aon Consulting, joining Aon when it acquired Avon Consulting Group.
